Who is responsible for your data

Nurse Life is operated by Scott Cunningham, doing business as Nurse Life, who is the data controller for the personal information described here — meaning we decide how and why it is used.

What we collect and why

  • Account details (email address, password, name shown on reviews) — to create and secure your account. Basis: providing the service you asked for.
  • Content you share (places, rentals, reviews) — to show it to other nurses. Basis: providing the service.
  • Assignment organizer notes (hospital, dates, links, usernames, contacts, checklists) — kept private to you so you can use the organizer. Basis: providing the service.
  • Membership status (whether you're a member and your billing period) — to unlock members-only features. Basis: providing the service.
  • Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, basic usage logs) — to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and fix problems. Basis: our legitimate interests.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Paddle, our Merchant of Record, which handles the sale of memberships, subscription management, payments, tax and invoicing. Paddle collects your payment details directly.
  • Service providers who host the site, run our database and sign-in, and send account emails, only as needed to provide the service.
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers or accountants, when needed.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. If you delete your account or ask us to, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we must keep records by law (for example, purchase records).

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Depending on where you live (for example, under Colorado or California privacy laws), you may have additional rights. To make a request, reply to any email from Nurse Life and we'll respond promptly.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls so only you can see your organizer notes, and trusted providers to protect your information. Please don't store passwords or patient information in Nurse Life.

Cookies

We only use essential cookies and similar storage needed to keep you signed in and make the site work. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
